After graduation from East West College, she had an opportunity to put her anatomy and biology background to use in the classroom, teaching anatomy and deep tissue massage therapy. She has gone on the teach both the art and science of massage in Oregon, Washington, DC and Albuquerque, even co-founding a Medical Massage school in Albuquerque, NM.
Her excellent presentation skills have been noticed on the national level as she has been a speaker at the American Massage Therapy Association’s National, Convention in 2014 and the School Summit in 2013. She has also presented the results of two massage research projects, focusing on the role of fascia in massage treatments, at national and international gatherings.
In 2007, Renee was awarded a scholarship for graduate studies in Anatomy & Neurobiology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. She took a two year sabbatical from massage while studying the Gross Anatomy and Cellular and Molecular Biology of the human body at the Medical College of Virginia.She is now integrating this advanced knowledge in her basic teaching as well as developing advanced coursework in dissection anatomy and therapeutic life sciences.
Renee also enjoys using her background in business and administration in her many entrepreneurial pursuits, both in the field of massage and other aspects of her life. These additional interests include running a successful AirBnB and managing a family tool production project. Renee is currently assisting others in the management of their practices and development of sound financial principles in their life.
